end of 5th week

time runs very fast...it's now the fifth week of the school year.next week will be our test days...i quite adjust with the routine of school life.my students are enjoying surfing the internet looking for different sites where they could get relevant information regarding our activity: editorial writing on global warming and the melting of glaciers...very interesting i think for they use the power point presentation to create the editorial.

Using the technology is indeed a great advantage...so i must also keep up with my students.

adviser...no more

i don't know if i'm going to be happy or sad...for i'm no more a mother to a section. it's my first time in ten years of teaching...not to handle an advisory section. i know a lot is being expected of me now in my work...being the only english teacher in school having no advisory section yet in-charge of the reading center and the english club...but i know i can handle this...i'll do my best!...anyway i have to move on from everything! good luck to myself!!!

spasm...spasm..! but still managed to shop!!!

i was about to report to school this morning ...when suddenly i felt something unusual...i felt dizzy and uncomfortable...uneasy. but i don't want to waste my day...so i asked my niece to accompany me at sm bacoor...for a needed stuff to buy...secrets!

i took my medicine...and i was relieve for a few hours during our stroll...yet when we went home, i had the same feeling up to now...but i won't forget letting you know what'shappening to me.

01 June 2008...start of a week preparation for school

it's the last sunday of my vacation...and this afternoon we'll prepare the venue for the kick off ceremony tomorrow of brigada eskwela 2008. we are assigned in the decor and accommodation committee...the third year level.

i quiet enjoy this day...finding a lot of time for myself, forgetting about the tutor thing..etc.in short moving on to a different direction..in my career (as in renewal)..in love (past is past...that's enough all right!)..hope new things will pop up.

i feel rejuvenated anyway...GOD bless everyone!!!

2008 Brigada Eskwela...a starter!

yesterday...i together with the other third year teachers met in the school and discussed about the preparation for the brigada eskwela next week. we were assigned in the decoration and accommodation of the said affair. we maid a lay out of the streamer to be used and gave it to the maker.

after that...my niece irene texted, inviting me to go with her at sm, bacoor...just for a window shop, and unwind, of course i accept the generous offer..for they have a car to go there, so no worries.
we spent the time at the grocery and did a lot of stroll..ending up hungry, so we filled our tummy with mouth watering food at the food court..then we went home.

then at around, 8pm.. i asked irene to accompany me at labac, naic for an important errand. we went home at past 9 o'clock...i texted some stranged texpals before i slept...that's all for today!

home sweet home!

i'm home at last...!after 4 tiring days in manila...whew!! it's a wonderful experience..though my eyes are still aching for having a date with the computer for 3 straight days. it was my first time to attend an ICT seminar sponsored by smart...i'm happy too because i met many friends from different parts of the country...batanes, catanduanes, banawe, ...nice knowing you guys!!! i wish to see you again...next ICT seminar, if we will still be invited.. i hope so!!! thanks to smart, more power to you!!!

marvin...i should have known u better!

i am so sorry that i haven't used this software(marvin) in my power point presentation, i couldn't figure out what's the problem about my computer or...about my work in here, in the first place i only oftenly use the microsoft word and excel. but i am so thankful that am given the opportunity to attend this seminar...for i learn lot about using the computer and utilize the internat in preparation of lessons. thanks for the learnings!!!

cut !

i learned how to make a photo story...very interesting. i like to do more but i lack time to focus on one challenge before the next. a lot of ideas sparked into my mind on how this new learning would be very useful for my students. I could use this in presenting lessons in the english class and help the students maximize their creativity in doing their outputs. but before that... i like to know more about the basic tools. have a pleasant day anyway!!!

a whole day with the net

it's a strange yet a good day for me...facing the computer for 8 hours or more...i enjoy learning a lot surfing the net...knowing more how to use the technology not only for personal pleasure but also on how i can improve my teaching strategies when i go back to my work station.

the things that i learn today include...how to use the different search engines; how to present lessons so that students could used hyperlinks in answering questions..which may be done through scavenger hunt as suggested by our beautiful lecturer, and how to make a blog!...which i think everyone, especially the students would enjoy, at the same time improve their communication skills and enhance their creativity.

i'm not done with the previous tasks given today...but i'm really enjoying what i'm doing now, i know everyone would agree to that! we have a busy day!!! smile
